“We didn’t know that was going to be our last trip with her.”
I was on an intake call with a repeat client. A few years earlier, I had planned a vacation for her, her mother, and her sister who had special needs.
On that trip, we made sure those special needs were taken care of, and plans made in advance to anticipate extra steps and easy the stress. We did the work on the front end to make sure that the trip was as seamless as possible. This time, we were planning a pretty standard family trip with her partner and 2 kids. We went through the usual steps, questions and information.
“Is there anything else I can help clarify or you wanted me to note before we go?” I asked her.
“Yes….one more thing. On our last trip…with my mom and my sister…we didn’t know that was going to be our last trip with my sister…
…And I just wanted to thank you for helping us with that trip. We have so many lovely memories with her, and it was magical.”
